Session #96

24 H’rarmont (10:00)

Heimdall investigates the blue crystal, pull one of them out of the ground and a wave of arcane force explodes from the crystal and a spectral form appears over the crystal.

The Spectral form says:   The seal… shattered. Why now? After so long…"

"Who dares disturb my sleep?   Answer and prepare to be mine forever..

It disappears through the ceiling and appears behind the group.

After some chit chat it asks you where she can find Lord Loren Soth, as tyou don’t know that name, she attacks.  You notice that the blue crystal needs to be destroyed before any damage to the spectral form is possible.

Kelson damages the other crystal, and a second form appears.

After the combat, you continue down The tunnel continues on for about 500 metres. At the end of the tunnel, an opening...

Garnet Mines Entrance.png

You enter a colossal pit, the chamber descending dozens of meters into darkness. The stone bridge beneath your feet spans across the chasm, its surface cracked, partially crumbled, moss-covered, and glittering faintly with garnet dust.

Towering arches stretch between broken sections of the mine, once part of a vast and intricate dwarven mining infrastructure. Three archway bridges crosse the pit

A faint, ghostly turquoise glow suffuses the air, emanating from crystalline growths embedded in the walls. This is interrupted by sharp red glimmers—veins of garnet ore and bioluminescent fungal webs pulsing like embers in the shadows.

In the waters far below, there is faint reddish luminescence glowing from the bottom of the waters. Dept of the water is difficult to estimate.

Distant dripping echoes around the chamber, slow and deliberate.

The air is heavy and cold, thick with floating particles of dust.  It smells of damp rock and rust.

You feel a deep, unnatural stillness, as if the mine itself is holding its breath.

You cross the bridges, find a hall with 3 chests and a map with the insription in Dwarvish (Underground river)

One of the chests contained about 325 uncut garnet rubies (1 inch), you take a total of 260 of them.

Continue on through the tunnel system to come to what seems to be the mine exit.

You first send Korben to investigate.

When exiting the mines you see a large blue Dragon with seems to be his rider, another flight Marchal, dressed in the same way as the one in Hillhome. But this one seem to be an elf.

You see and hear him giving orders at a group of about 20 kobolts,

Pointing at the Kobolds, you scum, return to camp and advise that we have found nothing here but an old abandoned mine.

He looks south beyond the wall, You 4, stay here until I call for you.   You hear a Deep, snarling, wet voice answer the flight marshal :  "We obey. No one pass. No one live..."

You see one of the Kobold move toward the voice of the creature you cannot see he says :  “Four big lugs for one empty cave... must be real dangerous rocks in there!”   “Better hope the mine don’t bite you, muscle-butt!”

You hear the Deep, snarling, wet voice say :  “…You speak too much, little meat.”

Without hesitation, you see two large arms lunges forward and grab the kobold by the neck. The kobold’s head snaps sideways with a wet crack and is hurled to the ground.  The other Kobolds stand still in terror.

You hear from the Deep, snarling, wet voice: “Now it quiet.”

The flight Marshal yells out,  “Enough! Obey, or our Highlord will strip the flesh from your bones and feed your screaming souls to her wyrmlings!”

From this moment, the flight Marchal mounts his dragon and flies to the East. The kobolds also march East.

Once the kobolds start their march, the body of the dead kobold is dragged beyond the stone wall, just out of sight, the silence is broken by a sickening sequence of sounds of flesh tearing wetly, bones snapping like dry branches, and the deep, deliberate crunching of something feeding.

After they have devoured the Kobold, the creature resembling draconians move into the inner court yard, at this time, you decide to attack all four of them.  Of course, they all fall and their bodies erupt into sludge that fills a 10-foot-radius sphere.
