22 H’rarmont (11:30)

Immediately after passing through the Teleportation circle, outside, although muffled by the building, the last 2 seconds that its open, you hear:

Ruberik (Heimdall's Brother)

  • entering the back room where the portals are located - Yelling, there were 5 Hobgoblin scouts, one got away.

Followed be a loud roar...

  • that cuts off abruptly once the circle closes

  • a roar you have heard many times before, the loud roar of a dragon....passing over you..

Arrival At Thorbardin

When arriving, and going into the the first room where the pool of water is located, you can see a 3 dimensional image of all of you in the circle, the image shows you activating the circle and walking through it, like a short movie clip.

The pool also emits sound....the image and sound dissipates about 1 min after you enter that chamber.

The corridor that leads out has 5 swinging blades. You manage to pass and enter a larger hall with a large pool of water with 4 smaller pools and 4 statues of Dwarves.

On the other side of the door at the end of the corridor, two Dwarven Guards are posted outside of this Hallway.  They open the door when you unlock it.

After some discussions, you are brought before the council of Thanes.

Council Briefing – Thorbardin, Council of the Thanes.

In the council chambers are:

  • Glade Hornfel Kytil : High King

  • Arman Kharas : Thane of Hylar

  • Highbluph Bluph : Thane of Aghar

  • Gneiss Truesilver : Thane of Daewar

  • Pounce Quickspring: Thane of Theiwar

  • Rance Coalmount : Thane of Daergar

  • Tufa Bloodeye : Thane of Klar

  • Slate Armbreaker: Thane of Neidar

  • Empty seat (on purpose) : Kingdom of the Dead

The heavy stone doors of the chamber close behind you as the guards escort you into the Grand Hall. The flickering torchlight glints off polished armor and long-forged steel, but the atmosphere is heavy with urgency. All the Thanes are present… including Nagash, the Lightning Draconian, standing near Hornfel in silence, his cloak damp from travel.

High King Hornfel rises and welcomes you back to Thorbardin:

“Your victories have shaken the Dragonarmies. The Green dragon Cyan's fall has echoed across the ranks of the Green Army, and the death of the White Dragon Highlord Feal-Thas has slowed their operations in Icereach. But this only stirs the hornet’s nest...”

After you mention the details of your recent adventures, Hornfel adds the following :

• Red Dragonarmy has begun regrouping in Gateway and Haven, under a new Highlord, Toede they call him.

• Blue Dragonarmy our initial information is that they were gathering strength near Kalaman, but now we know that Flight Marshal Brogan has been seen invading WestGuard, just West of Silvanesti

• Black Dragonarmy has begun construction of a fortress in the ruins of Kendermore, led by a terrifying Black Highlord—Lucien of Takar.

• A rift between the Green and Blue Highlords (Salah-Khan and Kitiara Uth Matar) has developed after Cyan's death, possibly due to internal rivalry for command over Neraka's favor.

He also mentions that all the Dwarves in Thorbardin have rallied together to stop the Draconian invasion. With all the attempts, none have entered Thorbardin.

Thane Gneiss Truesilver (Daewar) reports increased underground tremors in regions below Kalaman and Estwilde—could signal a draconic excavation or ritual site.

Slate Armbreaker (Neidar) notes that more Hill Dwarves are rallying behind the united mountain clans—Your success is inspiring unity.

An emissary from Southern Ergoth arrived a few days prior—apparently sent by the Kagonesti — but was ambushed and killed en route. A message scroll was recovered: “The unity of elves is possible—but only if a neutral voice delivers the call.”

The council suggests that you could be the ones to rally the Qualinesti, Silvanesti, and Kagonesti if they travel west after Palanthas.

Hornfel mentions:

“That which lies in Palanthas may not serve only the righteous.  A Dragon Orb, yes… but these relics respond to will—not virtue. The Knights of Solamnia must be made to understand this.”

We have received word from Elistan that infighting among the Solamnic Orders is deepening. Without intervention, they may refuse to use or even destroy the Dragon Orb. They are not certain who can wield this strength to control the orb.

Some in the Council suspects that one of the Highlords is already in Palanthas, in disguise or with spies.

The Garnet Gatehold — Lost Mine of Red Gemstone

South-East of Solanthus, nestled in the jagged peaks of the Garnet Mountains, lies the Garnet Gatehold — an ancient dwarven mining complex abandoned during the Cataclysm.

It was once the most bountiful source of red gem (Garnet and Ruby), in Ansalon.

City of Haven - Under Red Dragon Army Control

SalmonFall - Unsure of its status, possible Blue Army Invasion

Mount Nevermind is an now extinct volcano located on Sancrist Isle that served as a great forge for the Dwarves. Since the cataclysm, the volcano is inert.

Kalaman – This city was a huge open-air bazaar, which was run by the government, and houses of merchants of every possible kind. It was the main location that dwarves used to gather the raw minerals for forging special weapons.

Castle Eastwatch - Castle Eastwatch is a castle on the western side of Southern Ergoth. It has it’s own dock on the Noble River and it is large enough for three large shallow draft vessels. The castle itself is a fort with two towers attached to his walls and a main keep. Inside the walls are numerous buildings: stables, smithy, armory, livery, storage building, a guard house, and a barracks. The dwarves used to meet in secret with the Knight of Solamnia before the Cataclysm.

Final Words from Hornfel :

“My friends, you are no longer mere adventurers. You are now the light on which free people pin their last hopes. Palanthas may be the last staging ground before we take this war to Neraka. Hold fast to your purpose.”

He stands, and the council follows suit, weapons raised in silent salute.
