Session #80
15 H’rarmont (22:00)
The forest is filled with a greenish-yellow haze. The scene has an otherworldly and enchanted atmosphere, with thick tree trunks, twisting branches, and lush moss covering the ground and trees. The overall lighting is dim and blurred, and almost looks unreal.
Detect magic from Le Nordais shows that everything is magical with various schools of magic.
- Enchantment
- Illusion
- Divination
- Conjuration
- Necromancy

A large grouping of trees stands in the middle of the clearing, enclosed and overarching branches conceal what is inside. An opening is on the north side.
As you approach, you can hear inn like chatter and singing... seems like a very festive event. Through the entrance, you see Tika Wayland walk across inside, she is also singing...

As you walk in, the familiar scent of spiced potatoes and roasting meat fills the air. The warm glow of the fireplace flickers against the polished wooden beams, the comforting creak of well-worn floorboards echoing beneath your steps. Everything is as you remember it—every table, every chair, every scent and shadow perfectly placed as if you had never left Solace. Well almost…something is wrong.
Most of the Inn is here, but some of the area seems to be missing, as if they had been erased from reality.
Inside the Inn is :
-
Otik Sandath – standing behind the bar, he greets you with a wave of his hand
-
Tika Wayland - She is serving a group of draconians. She tells you that she is happy to see you, just take a seat and she will be with you shortly.
-
one you've seen in Solace when you left (sitting on a dragon in Solace)
-
The other, never seen before (But Alhana has, in a Dream she had)
-
-
Grey Beard - He is in conversation with a tree in the corner of the Inn
You all enter and sit and wait to be served by Tika.

The Tree. It shouldn’t be there...
A twisted, gnarled tree has rooted itself into the floor of the inn, stretching toward the ceiling.
Greybeard’s voice is low at first, words slurred together, incomprehensible.
After a while, his tone shifts. Anger. Desperation. Fear.
He leans in toward the tree, spitting words at it…..
“You think I don’t know what you are?
“You think I don’t see you?
“Whispering, always whispering—watching me with your dead eyes!”
His voice rises, his hands clenching into fists.
“What?, You brought them here to the bleeding forest, didn’t you?!”
“You brought the dead to whisper my name!
“Well, I will not listen!”
Then suddenly, he stops and turns towards you!
A terrible stillness grips the room. His body stiffens, his limbs trembling as if some unseen force is pulling him from within. Then, in a voice not his own, a sound that scrapes like metal against bone, he whispers:
“Too late”
The Transformation
The warmth vanishes, leaving only the chill. Darkness erupts from within him, pouring out like ink, stretching across the walls and floor, swallowing the warmth of the inn whole.
The others, Tika, Otik and the Draconians fade out. Grey Beard transforms into a dark shadow of darkness, its hollow eyes burning red.
The walls of the inn rot away and are covered with the same green slime that covers the forest.
Standing in front of you and slowly moving towards you, is a menacing shadow figure that hovers above the ground.
After a harder encounter with this dark creature…. You decide to spend the night under the cover of the large grouping of trees.
You also have a strange feeling that, the Inn, the people you saw where pulled from your memories…
